DIGITAL SCHOOL
Boost the digital jobs market and expand digital infrastructures.
Digital infrastructure and services can only be successfully expanded in the long term if two conditions are met:
- infrastructure is properly deployed and maintained,
- and operators have the necessary skills to build these infrastructures and to market the resulting services.
Today, most countries have a real skills shortage in these areas.
To overcome this problem, we need to provide upstream training in network skills, whether in fiber or mobile network technologies (4G, and soon 5G). It's not just a question of training marketing and sales executives, engineers and senior technicians, but of training for all kinds of professions, starting with civil engineering, access and connection...
Setting up a Network School is a particularly effective way of providing the skills needed for digital growth. Many telcos operators, particularly in Africa, are well aware of the issues facing them, and are heavily involved in training for digital jobs.
CHALLENGES & KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Most African countries are facing very similar needs for planning, technical implementation and maintenance skills.
Universities, engineering schools and technological institutes address some of these needs, but training in basic techniques for less skilled trades is often non-existent.
That's why we recommend the following model:
OUR APPROACH
Notre équipe d'experts fédère l'ensemble des compétences nécessaires à la préparation et à la mise en oeuvre d'un projet de création d'école :
Carry out the required studies to frame the project
- Identify needs in terms of trades and key skills to be developed,
- Study the existing training offer and the expectations of local companies,
- Definition of the vision and roadmap:
- Sizing of the necessary training infrastructure.
- Target learner profiles,
- Estimating the budget required,
- Search for funding and public and private partners.

Steering building design
- Drawing up and managing specifications for classrooms and technical facilities (indoor and outdoor), as well as evaluating equipment and supplies needed, etc.
- Follow-up and on-site supervision.
Guidelines & Methods
- One or more classrooms are set up for teaching lessons. Computers are essential for delivering training modules such as IT tools.
- Indoor and outdoor technical facilities for training students in real-life conditions.
- approximately 10m2 per student for the indoor technical area, with welding stations, reproduction of a customer interior and a cable hoisting cabin
- a minimum surface area of ½ hectare for the outdoor area
- the possibility of pulling up to 700 meters of cable to expose students to as many real-life situations as possible
- the installation of rooms (1 room for 2 students), a PM, a truss, heads and several poles.

Engage stakeholders and ensure successful school launch
We support you until the school opens and the 1st class graduates.
- Private-public partnerships to guarantee the school's long-term viability
We can help you set up a complete ecosystem of partner companies, training organizations, equipment manufacturers and key government bodies.
- Recruitment of future apprentices
We provide support in recruiting and monitoring students based on an assessment of their applications and/or through selection tests.
The first class could consist of 60 to 75 students (3 classes).
- Communication throughout the project and opening ceremony:
- during the launch phase: to keep all project stakeholders informed
- at kick-off, for promoting the school to public decision-makers and local businesses
- after launch, to organize your school's grand opening and feedback stages.
