Orange aims to become the leader in Very High-Speed Broadband (THD) in France with the 100% THD project. This project seeks to deploy fiber optic in the medium-density areas (ZMD) of the French territory. To achieve this, Orange has enlisted the expertise of Sofrecom to support the program from its definition to its operationalization.
Challenge
The 100% THD project aims to establish Orange as the leader in Very High-Speed Broadband (THD) in France. Orange requested a Sofrecom expert to support the THD program in medium-density areas (ZMD) for the definition, implementation, and operationalization of the program.
Methodology
After contributing to the development of Orange's strategy in ZMD, our consultant led and contributed to several tasks:
- Designing and managing customer reference databases in the area
- Coordinating and transitioning between pre-sales, network deployment, and technical operation of public initiative networks (RIP) where Orange is the delegate, in connection with national teams
- Processing self-funded deployment files
- Anticipating, monitoring, and implementing Orange's strategy as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in RIP areas: preparing investment committees, liaising with purchasing committees, and coordinating actions from investment decision to commercialization
- Producing reports on both the network deployment method (reference data, status, etc.) and ISP activity, including the analysis of activity deformation in a given geographic area
Result
This project enabled Orange to establish and optimize internal processes to gain agility and responsiveness. It fully supports Orange's objectives as an operator-integrator to maintain the highest possible network market share and retain Orange ISP customers.
