Project overview 

Orange Cyberdefense, present in over 10 countries, is undergoing transformation following several mergers and acquisitions, culminating in the creation of the brand. These strategic moves have led to a heterogeneity of information systems across different entities, creating challenges in terms of uniformity and operational efficiency. The mission to transform the commercial IS is thus part of a consolidation and optimization strategy. 

Challenges and customer needs 

OCD inherited multiple information systems due to its various mergers and acquisitions. Consolidating these IS is crucial for harmonizing operations on an international scale. In France, OCD primarily uses Orange's IS, while other countries have their own systems. Migrating the ERP, which is nearing the end of its life, to a more modern solution has become a priority. 

The transformation mission: objectives and approach 

The mission entrusted to Sofrecom involved restructuring the commercial IS and is part of a consolidation and optimization strategy. 

Solutions and methodology of Sofrecom 

Sofrecom deployed a three-phase methodology to meet OCD's needs

  • Phase 1 - Current State Analysis ("As Is"): A detailed analysis of the existing IS to identify strengths and weaknesses. This phase mapped the current state and identified pain points and improvement opportunities through interviews, workshops, and specific tools. 
  • Phase 2 - IT Master Plan ("To Be"): Definition of target solutions and processes post-carve out, with recommendations on tools to use. This phase defined a master IT plan for the future architecture of the IS, integrating best practices and technological solutions tailored to the client's specific needs. 
  • Phase 3 - Transformation of OCD France: Implementation of the transformation in three stages, including migration to integrated SaaS solutions. During this phase, our IT transformation consultants supported OCD in implementing recommendations and ensured rigorous follow-up to guarantee the transition to new solutions and the consolidation of information systems. Tools and methods used included interviews, workshops, and SWOT analyses. The TOGAF/ADM methodology and Agile/Scrum principles were also applied to ensure a smooth transition.
