REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

In a world of limited natural resources, we believe that reducing our environmental impacts is an essential condition for sustainability and competitiveness

Managing our sites responsibly

Our goal is to increase energy efficiency at our sites and reduce the carbon footprint of our travel. This includes the following actions:

  • Energy audits of our sites and setting up improvement plans 
  • Generalization of recycling of waste and setting up of solutions taking into account the context and regulations of each country. 
  • Reducing paper consumption for internal use and in marketing and communications.
  • Training and raising awareness among employees about eco-friendly practices in the office and at home is essential.
    Rolling out teleworking across all our sites and entities.

We want to find ways to optimize and keep improving so we can reach our goals and really contribute to Orange's Net Zero Carbon challenge.  Here's how we're doing it: 

  • Conduct an annual carbon assessment: Calculate the carbon footprint of all our activities to identify the main sources of emissions (transport, energy, raw materials) based on international standards.
  • Set reduction targets: Define clear and ambitious targets based on the data measured and implement action plans to achieve them.
  • Engage employees and empower them: our profit-sharing agreement now includes a criterion for reducing our carbon footprint. 
  • Communicate progress: Share the results of our carbon assessments and the actions we have taken in a transparent manner, both internally and externally.

ETHICS & COMPLIANCE

Keen to respect ethical rules and its environment, and to step up the fight against corruption, Sofrecom has made ethics a priority.

In 2018, Sofrecom SA has obtained a second certification in this field by obtaining ISO 37 0001 certificate for its anti-corruption management system and became the first entity of Orange to obtain these certifications. This dual approach attest our desire to act as a responsible and trusted company.

This reference framework defines and specifies the daily conduct between us, our customers, our competitors and more broadly, our environment.

This double approach to compliance, on the one hand, and compliance with laws and rules, and ethics, on the other hand, that is to say, Orange's commitments that go beyond legal norms alone , marks our desire to act as an actor of Responsible and trust.

Our certifications, Anti-corruption policies and Ethics charter support our commitment. 

Sofrecom is certified ISO 37001 "Anti-corruption management systems" since June 2018.
